I'm using the Ragazzon back box - pretty happy overall, but want some additional grunt in low revs.

So thinking about fitting a Ragazzon centre pipe to it (http://www.ragazzon.com/eng/catalogue/ragazzon/silencers/fiat/4463/55_0107_00.htm).

Anything special to have in mind?

I guess it's a direct fit both to the back box and the cat pipe.

But what about back pressure, should I expect any issues from reduced pressure (since the resonator will be missing)?

Anything else to have in mind?

Thanks!

It will really loud. I fitted a 'straight thru' silencer to my TA and had to go back to standard as it was way too loud.

Do you have the ragazzon fitted?

How did the car feel after just a backbox replacement?

Ah, sorry, you are retaining back box. In that case you'll be fine. My friend had Raggazon. Very nice quality.
Didn't honestly notice any difference in power.

So, just got my Ragazzon centre pipe mounted.

I am more than happy with the results, this was the sound I was after in first place.

While the back box added a sporty/metal/grinding noise above 4000 RPM, at low RPM and idle it sounded the same (or even little worse) than the stock back box.

Now there's a noticeable growl at slow speeds and best thing is it is not excessively loud, it's exactly as loud as to be noticeable but not too harsh on the ears. Still about to test it on long trips though.

I'll make an "after" video one of these days and upload it together with the video of the Ragazzon back-box + stock centre pipe. Not sure if they'll give any good idea as I make them in the garage - so a lot of added acoustics.

On the downside - the exhaust is rattling again (had the same issue when installed the back box) and need to take it back for fixing. It seems both center pipe and back-box are heavier than stock parts and that causes extensive movement when going over bumps, etc.

If you're only after gentle low RPM grunt and don't care about imaginary performance gain and sporty note above 4,000 RPM, stick to the original back box and only change the center pipe.

I highly recommend both the centre pipe and the online shop I got it from (http://www.mw-motorsport.net/)

Hmm, I'm not sure it's the right direction for me then!

I think I might just get the backbox, I'm not after low down rumbling or a louder tone at low speeds/ RPM. I think I'd prefer to keep it quiet around town.

However, I am interested in a beefier sound when "giving it some" so the backbox still sounds good.

I'd really appreciate a video comparison when you get time :):)

Exactly, it's not that louder at all. You can make it louder if you intentionally step off the pedal while in high RPM, but if you drive normally it's almost unnoticeable.

I just had some 300 kms of motorway driving, the sound inside the car is exactly the same as before.

Edit: you might have an issue with the pipe touching the chassis of the car. It is because the stock pipe has some "pins" to prevent it from rotating, and Ragazzon products do not have these. On top of that they are heavier. So I had issues with rattling with both the back box and the center pipe. But the guys at the exhaust center fixed the both easily, so now it's fine.
