Radio CD problem

Hello everybody,
I've just bought a Fiat Brava 1.8 and first thing I did was to change the radio. My CD player is a Kenwood Mp3.
The problem is that when I start the car, the radio doesn't keep anything in memory, bass level, CD track...well, there's absolutely nothing.
If anyone has a clue, that would be great...I need help.

My Brava is from July 98

U will have a wire at the back of your unit which has a choice of two other wires to connect to swap the wire around then put in ur setting then change it back again and hey presto settings are saved!!! i think the wire will be red but dont quote me on that!

you should be able to swap red and yellow. One of them will be straight through and one often has a jack on it for power to a changer. but i guess that depends on the head unit. This will be onthe head units wiring not the cars!

I have to thank you indeed. I succeeded.
I mean, I didn't understand everything of your message for my english isn't perfect (I'm a french native)...just noticed that I had to mix the red and yellow wires and I did exactly what I needed...and even more, for now, I can listen to my radio even without turning the key on. Great !

I knew this forum would help me.
