Radiator Fan Running, when ignition switched off

I've got a 1995 1.1 Fiat Punto.

Just noticed that the radiator fan sometimes runs, after I've switched the engine off. Is this normal? As I know that Fiat Electrics are slightly different from other cars.

Worried as I recently had the head gasket done, and don't want the car to break again. As it's a nice little car.

All the SPI cars do this. (And it's pretty common among cars of that era).

Did you get to the cause of the HG going? If that's not addressed it'll happen again, and again, etc.
