Technical Quick fix for me???

This week the red 'injector' light keeps coming on at random intervals on the dash. But it doesnt have any effect while the engine is ticking over or accelerating. I changed the in-line fuel filter last year but is this problem something to do with the fuel pump? Where do I start looking?

1.0L FIRE 1993.

Could be lots of different reasons...there was more about it on forum...
...could be injector problem, lambda sensor, bad engine earth....
...some people use car for long time with it and no problems found...

It comes on when one of the inputs to the ecu that controls the injector changes.

Have you noticed if the fuel economy has dropped? if it has, could suggest over fuelling due to faulty lambda. this thread may halp you diagnose your problem.
