Sourced a bigger TB from a fiat brava (year unknown, all i can say it's it about a 98 ish). It appears to be direct fit onto my inlet mani, 3 bolt pattern, and i'll have to put my throttle cable position on.

It looks identical to mine apart from the different position of the cable.

Just want to confirm that it Will be a direct fit and not a waste of £20.

Thanks

P.S Butterfly appears to be only 40mm, it's definatly not bigger.

Got the throttle body today, the bolts are only out by 3mm so i'm going to get my friend to machine them in a bit more so it will line then have a shim with a taper so it lines up with the manifold opening.

End result with be 68mm before the taper starts down to 45mm at the flutterfly, then 40mm (with the shim) onto the mani. I'm hoping this will encourage more air trapped behind the flutter.

Only downside I can see so far is my induction is only big enough for my TB at the mo :D. Didn't think that bit through hehe.

Thanks

Take it you didnt sort it today then lol.... You could make a small adapter plate to get it to fit!
As for the induction, ebay have some good reducer bits in silicon.

Gave my friend the throttle body. Hes going to make a shim to fit inside to reduce it to 40mm (past the flutter) for the manifold, and slightly enlarge the holes so the bolt pattern lines up.

Now all I have to do is sort my induction kit.....

Thanks
