it cost the grand total of £10. yep thats right only ten pounds.
go to a car parts shop (like halfords, only not them) and buy some masking tape and some exhaust manifold paint in the colour you want it, mask of the area and wire brush it then wipe down with white spirit and sandpaper if needed, and then paint. takes about 2 hrs if you need to sand it. the paint is called 'very high temperature paint' and comes in a orange can with a picture of an exhaust manifold on it and the lid is the colour of your choice. its not a glossy coat (looks a bit like its covered in powder paint) but does do a cracking job and is very chip resistant.
