Evening everyone!
I've just received a txt to say my car is being built next week and I was wondering how long it actually takes to build a Qubo.
P.S I've been waiting 8 weeks so far lol
Many thanks
Mick

Hmm slight cock-up at the dealer...should have been a 75 Trekking instead they order a 75 Mylife D with semi auto option

as an apology they've said they'll do a few mods to the car FOC otherwise I can re order and wait another 3mnths..

Hi again to both of you, Well done for going for the 75 HP, its reputed to be the better buy then the 95, which, so I'm told, does suffer from some problems.
As for the semi auto gearbox, 'duralogic', thats what I have on mine, and its a great tool, you can drive it in full auto mode, or switch it to manual, in which case you just flick the lever to change gear up. or down. As a plus side, the mpg on the duralogic box is as good if not better then on the full manual gearboxed cars, thats because its actually a manual box with a computer controlled clutch mechanism which changed the gears according to load/speed/gradient e.t.c, all very clever, it works well, and is very reliable. Though it can take a little getting used too, especially the change from 1st to 2nd.
Hope you get the cars soon, come back on the forum and let us know hope you find them.
Cheers Qube O.

Most cars take about 24 hours, so about three workdays, to assemble. That's an average and as the Qubo's smaller than average the time involved may be a little less.

i'm in merseyside ordered mine in march due any day soon total wait just over 3mnths

Mine took seven weeks from order to delivery. Part of that was making my way to the front of the queue (which includes Nemo and Bipper versions), then about three workdays for assembly followed by transport time from Bursa, Turkey to my local dealer.

Didn't know you could still get a 75 HP Trekking. And no way can you you get Traction+ and Duallogic together at the moment. They couldn't find you another 75 HP Trekking at another delaer or in Fiat UK stock? Strange.

My Euro 5 2011 95 HP has done 21,000 miles in seven months without any problems and has excellent drivability. There certainly were some issues with the early 95 HP engines a few years ago but they seem to have been solved since then.

I hopefully pick up the mylife on friday..been to see it today and seems like a nice set of wheels so far! couldnt do much at the time someone was deep in job tinting the rear windows

The main problem with the 95HP is the related to the DPF, and its regen' cycle. This is a ongoing problem, and while its not only a Fiat problem does seem to affect most low milage, (shopping cars). Cars like yours which do a good milage are not affected, so you would not experience the issue.

I know of one dealer with 2, 75 bhp Trekkings sitting in their compound, well they did have 2 weeks ago.
The 75bhp is by far the better unit, in fact the Qubo is a well thought out car, the only thing that lets it down is the high amount of top strut bearing failures, and the ability to destroy a set of front tyres in 10k.

Morning Highlander, Yes I agree the Qubo is a well thought out, and well screwed together car........as for the top mounts and tyres......its a waiting game for me. My car, just 3 years old has only done 12000 miles, so up to now no problems with top mounts, the steering pulls straight, and the tyres look like doing 15-17000.
Perhaps different pressure in the tyres may help with the wear, just a thought.
Cheers Qube O.:)

Morning Qube O, yea I had thought about a change in pressure, but the more I think about it, the more I seem to feel that these probs are linked.

When you read through the posts, the owners who have suffered top mount bearing failure seem to be the ones suffering heavy tyre wear.

We have done about 7, miles, and I reckon there is about another 1000 miles left on the front tyres, mind you the rears look like the day they were puto on.

cheers Ian

Hi Highlander, Yes its a shame that on 'modern' cars the practice of swopping wheels front to back or corner to corner is frowned upon. That at least would even out the wear. Mine, like yours are like new on the back of the car. I have had a very close look at my fronts and the wear is 100% even on both tyres, no excessive wear on any one point, all wearing very evenly. I would hope for at least another 5000 from them, and that would be very close to 20,000, so I would be happy at that, for a heavy fronted, front wheel drive car, with a rather good turning circle.
Take care.
Cheers Qube O.;)

As far as i remember, the Trekking used to be offered with just the 1.3 75bhp Multijet engine but when Fiat did a minor revision to the Qubo they started fitting the Trekking with just the 95bhp Multijet & added the 95bhp to the 75bhp already offered on the Dynamic (now MyLife) trim. Therefore i suspect the 75bhp Trekking models kicking about are old models that have been sat around, partly because the Qubo & in particular the Trekking, hasn't sold in massive numbers.

Obviously there'd be a few more Trekkings out there if dealers didn't order MyLife's by mistake ;)

Someone might save themselves a lot of money by taking one of these 75 HP Trekkings off the dealer's hands as they are Model Year 2010 or even earlier. When the spec changed (as mentioned above) from MY 10 to MY 11, the 75 HP Trekking was dropped.

When I ordered my MY 11 last summer only the 95 HP Trekking was on offer. Even had the 75 HP version been available, I'd have still ordered the 95 HP version because of the amount of time that I spend on motorways. I've just seen that the 75 HP version is now back in the catalog here in Belgium but is not showing on the Fiat UK website.
