Been in touch with Ben at Over-revs, mobile tinting (recommendation by Smee).

Quoted 175 for 5 bravo windows.
Says he'll arrange discount for the club if we can get some numbers together.

I (my brothers) will opt for dark on rear 3 and light on the fronts incidentally. They do all manor of different films though (some I'd not seen before.)

Not in any hurry, so stick your email down if you'd perhaps like to be included (maybe in a month or two)

Anyone happens to have good experience of other competitive installers, do drop in link too

I would like to get my windows tinted, where are you and the mobile tinter based?

It all depends on how much of a discount we would get however, also i actually have 12meters of 'Dark Smoke' window film. Would they consider doing it using my own film???

Would definately be up for that in say 2 months. Let us know where we would have to travel to.

I asked them about fitting in say, York vs. Birmingham. They say there would be 40 trevelling expense to either location, but may still make them cheaper than perhaps using a local guy (if you have one near you, especially with potential discount) and I'd rather pay that than fart about getting to and from a garage.

Re: bump

Yer, i'd done mine, but it was in antisipation of my brother getting his done that I started this thread (not that long ago).

By all means keep this thread going, though I've decided I'm guna do my brothers for him afterall, next week.

I'm just not convinced a garage will do as good a job without taking the glass out on the fronts, and as I'm guna do his handles and fit solenoids for him, might as well do it all as a one-er!

I learned all I needed to the first time round, so i know what to expect. I'm getting some practice in this week actually, as my mums got a cabin int Dales and she's fed up of ramblers peering in, so I'm doing the front windows! :)

I WILL get the rear done in one this time. I've got a new rear door being sprayed and smoothed meanwhile I'm guna have the glass whilst its out, to do the dry shrinking this time (should be a lot easier than trimming the ****er outside upside down!!) :)
