any forseeable problems ?

i have the 1.4S and want to drop a 1.6 into it, will there be any problems ? has anyone else done this ?

any help much apriciated :)

is that not a bit pointless? It would surely be the same work as putting a 1.8 or a diesel in. Engine, clutch, gearbox, drive shafts, wiring loom, engine mounts. Plus insurance wise an engine change is an engine change, it'll make your insurance really expensive whatever!

I'll tell you what, buy my 1.6, it's the same colour as yours and swap the body kit, probably cheaper and easier :D

Gotta agree with Al on this one...

Even though a jump to a 1.6 would obviously be good increase for you, you be better off going for a 1.8 or 2.0 coupe lump.

erm... sorry, not actually selling 1.6, was using it as an example, come back in may/june, am planning to change then i think. That is unless you are offering way over book price! ;)

i realise going to a 1.8 or the coupe would defenatly be a better choice but the 1.6 is rob's one which is pushing 130bhp and is perfect for what i want :)

so is it an easy swop over ?

130bhp from a 1.6, are you sure?

Don't get me wrong it might be, just seems alot to me.

if he is swapping to a bigger engine then everything you need he will be throwing away i would think, so it should be easy in that sense. And everything should fit as it's a bravo engine into a bravo, doesn't that engine have nos to get the 130bhp? If so you need all that kit too.
