 hi to all have a n reg punto the key light is staying on and car wont start dissconected battery left it ten mins started while running key light was coming intermittantly turned ignition off and it wouldnt start again any ideas

If the key code light dont go off then thats why it wont start as the immobilizer is still on also is the fuel pump still maken the noise at the rear as it should might be the code box maybe even ecu or bad earth problem.. ?

sometimes you can hear pump sometimes not noticed before this prob the car when started was humpin then would start to rev high and yes it has had some work done

Ok there is a wire from the reciver ring on ignition to code box near fuse box check thats not come out or broke the reciver ring is around the key hole you need to remove bottom cover under steering wheel to see it could also be the code box its self.. Also ive known for a fuse to blow in the engine bay that will make the car not start and code light stays on and the injecter light does not come on so i would check the fuse for the petrol pump... Other options are replacement of immo or removing of ecu codes by electronic engineer.... http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/datarecall/

Is your car coded? Check your handbook.

To input this code you have to put ur key in and do something else which i can't remember (like i said its in your handbook) then you input the code using your accelerator.

You might find this code written in your book somewhere or on the keyring that the car was bought with. (Thats where mine was)
