Hi I'm a newbie and have only had my fiat for 6 days and the automatic gearbox has broken. Although the car is old (T reg) it only has 39.000 miles and had it from my stepfather so know this is genuine. I cannot believe this has happened and don't know what to do.
My mechanic wants to scrap the car does anyone have any idea whether it is worth fixing the gearbox or scrapping it?
I know the stepfather recently spent a lot on brakes and exhaust. It has been regularly serviced and taken care of.
the gear box can be moved into gear but the car does not move at all
