Technical Punto Radio Codes?

Hi Folks

Does anyone know a good place I can get my radio De-coded. After they put the new battery in it decoded it. I have to have the serial number off my radio but not sure how I can get this since my radio is built right in. I'm a new fiat/punto driver so all this is new to me. Any help would be appreciated. I heard fiat can decode for £30 does anyone else know about this?

i no that my original radio (since replaced) had a user manual with it, and stapled to the inside of the cover was a small car (business card size) with the serial number, other stuff, and the unlock code... It also mentions on it that this model (grundig crappy radio cassette) if you enter the code wrong a certain number of times it locks you out for an hour, and then if again, for like 24 hrs or something... so be careful!!!! aaaah!!!

But in answer to your question, no i dont know about unlocking the radio, i guess any FIAT dealer would be able to do it for you.

So really, there was no point in me answering this post. Sorry, I shall go and hang my head in shame. ;-)

try to find the original supplying dealer, he should have the code on record. they usually charge about £15 for the code.

you may have to take the car to a dealer with proof of ownership.
