Hi I left my key in the inginition over night but its still saying wait -whats the max wait time?
also I am not using original keys as I lost these and had to call out a key company that cut me a couple of new ones could this be part of the problem?

You need the radio and ignition switched on, not just the key in the ignition.

Maximum waiting time is usually 24 hours if you've tried a wrong code several times.

A replacement key is OK providing it switches the ignition on.

Hi left key in inignition the next day car wouldn't start, managed with a jump start to get it going rolled down road and engine cut out and couldn't get it to start again do you think this is just a flat battery I was concerned it might have been the imobiliser?

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

Yes....... I have several different programs for calculating car radio codes including dedicated versions for Fiat Blaupunkt and Visteon radios.

I have mine written on a silver sticker, it came in the handbook when I got the car, will never need it now though, as the cassette player is being taken to the recycling centre when I get a chance, I got a CD player fitted instead.

I doubt the cassette player from the Punto will be vintage in years to come, and thus it has a cassette tape wedged in it (that's been wedged there for years) so it's not even worth giving away!
