Hi guys,
I have the factory fitted stereo and speakers in my Fiat Punto mk2 2004, but I would really like a sound upgrade, although I don't want to spend much.
In my previous car (a 2 seater) I upgraded the door speakers and added a sub, it was great, but the sub was just too much, I don't need all that bass. I want a nice bit of bass, but I want clarity more than anything, I don't wanna be heard from a mile away, my exhaust does that for me haha.
So what I would like to do is upgrade the sound system somehow to increase the sound quality without a sub and on a budget. Would a good set of door speakers do much on their own? The car came with upgraded rear speakers fitted to the boot lid too but they have a crap sound, I'm not even sure if they are wired in properly.
Of course the HU is another upgrade option but I don't know if this helps much? I would love to be able to use my iPhone to play music instead of CD's, but this might be 'Step 2', unless otherwise.
Any advice/tips, greatly appreciated, thanks!
