Grande Punto Punto Essence 2011 - Blue&Me BLARING Sound

Hi All

I need some advice, I have had my car since 2012 (2011 ex-Demo) and since day one my Blue&Me puts my passengers into a state of shock and requiring replacement ear drums when they get out my car. The ringtone and voice calls seem to BLARE, anyways of setting this lower? Had a look in the Blue&Me booklet but cant seem to find anything on how to do this and its driving me insane, so much so I have taken the risk of driving without Bluetooth and answering my iphone without it to avoid.

HELP!

Press MENU (or it might be AUDIO but i'm pretty sure its menu) on the stereo then use the controls to scroll to 'external volume' and change it to a lower setting
