Hi folks,

I am trying this forum for the 1st time to see if anyone could help me with an engine problem. Recently the car a 1.2 Punto has been juddering, it's definitely coming from the engine. It's now done 97 000 and I am keen to keep it going. It is also lacking power on acceleration. Interesting this problem only occured after not having driven the car for a week - whilst away on holiday. Having changed the spark plugs and flushed the injectors with reddex the problem still persists. Albeit it's running a little better. Having read my manual again I suspect it may the seal on the inlet manifold?

Has anyone got any other idea's or suggestions.

Thanks,

Jim:(

I seem to be having the same problem, under similar circumstances.
Its judderry to start off with and generally really sluggish...
My enginemanagement light is on but Fiat want £65 just to diagnose the problem!
The engine also races and almost self revs when its running...

Help?!

Any ideas would be a god send...

Jim, change your fuel filter, then all will be forgiven. Good luck.

Hi Greenbriggs9,

Thanks for the advice, but as far as I understand my MK2 Punto does not have a fuel filter, its only the MK1. Unless the filter is internal to to fuel tank istelf?

Any other idea's

thanks,

Jim
