I seen a punto with an abarth bumper and skirts on it the other day and was blown away at how cool it looked!iv never seen one in the flesh (or should i say fibreglass). I was considering getting a kit but i didnt want anything ott,now having seen them i want to get an abarth front bumper! Its nice and tidy and looked great with fogs and mesh fitted as the one i seen had.

Having found them on abs.net im a bit confused over what exactly they are selling. Is this a skirt which simply sticks on over your existing bumper or is it a full bumper?has anyone ever purchased these or similar?

Theres none on ebay, only kits on ebay are extreme and diablo. Had a look at fatsfiat.theyre made of abs plastic alright but he only has the skirt type and im not sure on how to fit these.Do you just use tiger seal to fix them over the original?im assuming this leaves a ghastly overlap look.:yuck: Does this tony guy come on here much?

Ive recently purcharsed plastics ones of these from ebay dead cheap think it was £180 for both front & rear & im buying the skirts seperatly.

They look alright & the overlap so to speak in hardly even noticable.

This is how they will look.

Yeh the skirts are wicked,im thinking of gonna go for the bumper skirts rather than the full bumper, looks fine and is half the price. I was going to get my bumpers colour-coded anyway so i might as well get the skirts bonded on and do it all at once. Wont have the cash for a month or so maybe but its defo my next mod, (though im waiting on a set of plasma dials from psc!;) )

Sorry but i wish that was my ride LOL, thats a foreign car i was just using that as a example! My car is basically the same as yours cash with them gash bumpers lol but my kit will be fitted soon!

It dont really bother me as the kit looks just as good it doesnt really matter if its the full bumpers or not.

I bought my kit here at a fatastic price

FRONT ABARTH EXTENSION £85

REAR ABARTH EXTENSION £75
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8030851323&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1

ABARTH SKIRTS £65
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8030860292&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1

I believe the skirts have run out because when i went to order the whole kit there where 0 available but not to worry as i have a set of skirts already lined up for purchase :D.

The good thing aswell is the extensions are plastic none of that fibreglass crap which shatters as soon as you hit a bump or something.

Let me know how you get on as im in the process of getting quotes & i have the exact same bumpers as you, the sh*tty matt black ones & i want to compare prices but yeah bare in mind you will need the top half of your original bumpers sprayed aswell!

Faz,
I ****ing hate those poxy bumpers, they really do my head in. Theres a place near me which has a sign on the road saying "colour-coding from $30" .Im assuming this means that if you were only getting your mirrors done it would be 30 and would go up accordingly to what you want done, its still a good price, thats like £20 sterling. I was thinking that if the skirting is easy to fit, with tiger-seal or likewise,i could fix em myself and get these guys to spray em(including the top part). I might e-mail tony on psc (abs.com) and ask him how easy(or difficult) these would be to fit yourself.Ill keep you informed anyway, let me know how your side goes mate(y)

Charlieboy,
I like the idea you have, i was thinkin of this also.I reckon it would give the car a good stance as the front would look as though it was sloping towards the ground. Im not mad on the abarth rear, i just love the skirts and front! :)

Heres one from the classifieds which only has the abarth front and side. Looks pretty nice to me.(y)

Yeh but thats why theres also a full bumper available in the abarth style. costs a lot more though, and would cost more to fit aswell. I thought the skirt-type would look kinda bogey with the overlap but having seen pictures i think it looks fine. will do me anyway! (y)
