Hi can anybody give me some advice please, I have had a second hand radio unit with car play fitted in my Fiat 500s it's playing great, but I now have a flashing milage etc. I took it to my local Fiat dealer but they won't touch it unless its bought from them and its brand new, So do I buy the Multiecuscan plug things and down load the Multiecuscan documents for £50, or does anyone know a electronics garage that I could take it too, I am willing to pay and I live at Worksop Geano.

Fiat Dealer not very helpful!
Most decent size garages will probably have something like Snap On Zeus Diagnostic tool, a friend of mine let me use his to sort "proxi alignment" on one of my daughters cars a 2010 Punto Evo over an Airbag issue that involved fitting a new BCM (body computer) so needed to run that program.
However if keeping the Fiat for a long term then good idea to purchase the MultiEcuScan tool including software and the correct cables. A company like Gendan can advise on what you need.
Alternatively you can check on the MES Register of owners on Fiat Forum to see if any local to you and able to help.:)

It definitely pays in the long run to use MES if you’re planning on keeping your 500 for a good amount of time! It’s easy to use once you get the hang of it! I learned by asking the chaps on here and now I can do a proxy in five mins ….. dealers do do it some at least but then they flease you of over 100!!!!

Thank you for your reply I’ll take your advice, I’m 72 so I think it will definitely be my last car, but I would like to have it right, ie stop the mileage flashing etc.
