Evening all

For the last week or so i ve been having problems with my Bravo stereo. E.g. when listening to the radio the screen will just stop and not let change channel, change volume or even turn it off, but it still plays music. If i press the button to turn it off, it turns off about a minute later. This is also the same when playing c.d's from my multichanger

I still have the original bravo stereo, my bravo is a 1.2sx 80 Y reg. Any ideas??

Cheers

Jono

I recently had the same problem. I have a Bravo 80 16v. It was fitted with a Grundig AD182H2. Eventually the stereo drained the battery so I bined it.
I have fitted an aftermarket CD player and now the drain on the battery seems to have stopped.
Only problem is that my new stereo can't retain memory settings. This has something to do, I think, with the battery not maintaining the charge to the CD's memory.
Fiat dealership were typically unhelpful - I may as well have rung Nissan!!!

Rick,
you need to swap the switched and permanant live.

that is why it drained the battery in the first place !

it uses the tiniest little bit of power! you'd have to leave it for weeks and weeks to drain it. unless your cd player is runnung, then you'll get a couple of hours.
sitch the power as suggested and it'll retain its memory no bother, without draining the battery

I want to die peacefully in my sleep, just like my gran did, and not screaming like her passengers were!

I have the EXCACT same problem. Have tried to remove the headunit and replace with a SONY, but it doesn't want to come out.

--Any one have any tips on taking the unit out? Other than just the ones on the bravo guide.

--Does any one have a solution to the controls freezing up?

They dont come out easily m8, the boo guide is pretty good, but you do have to pull hard!
you can buy the radio keys from fiat for the bravo headunit from fiat
part no. 1860897000
i nearly ripped my old HU apart gettin it out!

It doesn't help that there is usually double sided foam sticking it in place!
