General Problems with Injection?

Yesterday evening I experienced a brief loss of power on the acelerator and the red injection light on the panel was on briefly, it seemed to right itself almost immeadiately but this morning on the way to work after about 15 miles or so the light again came on but this time stayed on and there was an eventual total loss of power as I literally limped into work.
I have just started the car again after about 2 hours and the injection light is no longer illuminated and there appears to be some power.
Can anyone help/advise please?

Hi Booms and welcome to our forum

What model car/engine do you have?

The first thing to try is an injector cleaning fuel additive, the more expensive the better, Forte is very good.

If it's a diesel, try bleeding water off the fuel filter.

If the above don't fix it then have a look around for loose connections on the electrics and fuel lines. Pull the plugs and let us know what they look like.

Injector light is a general fuel/ignition problem. If you still have problems get back to us and we'll go through a few things.

In the mean time just look out for unusual temp readings/smoke/etc.
