I have a problem with bravo 1.16 16v
Every time the engine is cold he stalls after few seconds, theni turn it on and it is ok. exept when his warm, then every time when fan tuns on the engine falls from 850 RPM to 750 RPM, or sometimes when I go backwords it stalls. I tried to reset ECU( pulling ground cable out Etc) but without inprovments, in service they tell me that i must change whole ECU unit (1000 because they can not reset it with tester otherwise car goes like hell, around 207 Km/h.

Please help me, if you have some experiance with ECU-s or some sugestion.

Just some opinions....

Troubleshooting hint...rough idling/engine stops while idling - problem when engine is cold
1. Insufficient intake air...
- Malfunction of manfold absolute pressure
-Clogged air cleaner element
- malfunction idle control valve (stepper motor)
2.Malfunction of fuel injection control
- Malfuntion of fuel injection control device such as corroded wiring harness at the injector or correction for engine3 coolant temperature that link to ECU...

Good Luck

Agreed, most likely something clogged or stuck. 10min job to check and fix.

If it was a wiring issue I'd expect the light to stay on, no mention of that so I assume its not a wiring issue.

Its normal for the idle speed to drop slightly when the fan comes on.

Really need to know if it runs ok at speed and what the MPG is like.
