problem!! not starting!!

as title says im having problems with my 1996 1.4 bravo sx. its not always starting up first time.it can go for a week with no problems but then might not start up first time for a few days =( the plugs are sparking and the batterys pritty new.
any ideas would be awsome!!

could be starter motor, bushes may be fuc*ed

could be a warm engine aswell.

by not starting first time i mean the starter motor winds over but the engine just doesnt fire up =( it seams to do it both when hot and cold. but if it doesnt start first time i leave it for a minute and it starts fine then? weird!! any ideas??

So the starter motor winds up the engine, but the engine wont start ? Or does the starter turn whit no resistance ?

yeah its kinda hard to explain!lol.
the starter motor winds the same as if the engine was going to fire up, but just keeps winding over =(

there is no resistance, it just sounds perfectly normal but doesnt fire up.

So the engine makes the normal whunk whunk whunk noise but doesn't fire? Or does the starter just spin freely?

yeah the engine just makes the normal noises, just doesnt fire up!
