just been on e-bay and theres an item from powermaxx claiming to increase punto bhp by 7+bhp.it does this by trickying your ecu into thinking theres more air coming in at a cooler temperture.Does any have or know someone who has got one of these powermaxx on there car and if they notiched any think different happing to there car.Also seen some magnetic box that goes round your fuel line that removes all the metal that is in the oil, flowing through the pipe to make the car run better has anyone come across a gadget like this before and do they work.

If the Powermaxx thing claims to be a chip, get a pic of it, I'll bet its a resistor, and if so avoid it like the plague, these cause bore wash and all sorts of issues, definitely not worth it.

Also, the magnetic "magic" is flawed, doesnt work, you dont get owt for nowt...
 
Ben, it's safest to assume that all the chips on ebay are useless. There may be some good ones, but wait for a recommendation by a forum user to find it, rather than an ebay search.

5.2 BHP can be gained using a GSR Induction Kit. And that will be a genuine +5.2 BHP as measured on the rolling road. Not sure who to recommend for a remap on the HGT unfortunately, hopefully someone else will jump in with that advice.

apparently the HGT cannot be remapped

As everyone else has said steer clear, its just a scam that will mess up your engine......others to beware of are the power bands which can increase your BHP (which are just rubber bands) and the electric supercharger.....which just as small air ventilation fan wired to your battery.
 
i have found a site that claims to re-map the hgt but thats to only sit iv found after many hours of checking websites
 
Well they are the only company in europe that can map them if they say they can! Every Fiat tuning specialist in europe cannot map them so why would these lot? the ecu just doesnt allow it to be done. Even piggy backing them doesnt get good results. Needs to be full standalone ECU.
