We've recently acquired a Powermac G4 MDD.
Upon initial powerup without HDD it did absolutely nothing other than spin the fans up and generally make sounds like it was working (although no chiming \ bonging and or screens that may show that).
Tried a new HDD (it didnt have one in when we got it) and its still doing the same.
From what I can tell, these dont have editable BIOS parameters as a PC does, so I can't really tell much about what's going on.
What should I expect the machine to do if all h/w is working well and it passes the POST?
I expect when it gets to the stage of not finding a bootloader, things should stop, but I think its not getting that far.
What can I check to get this thing past its POST?
