Assuming no leaks and correct oil generally a slow turn all the way in both directions a few times and after a day maybe, it should settle down, it should self bleed.
As with brake bleeding violent movements tend to areate the fluid so try to avoid.
It's not unusual to get more noise when steering is held all the way left or right so don't make a habit of it, it is the pressure relief valve operating I believe.
Noise isn't oil or dirt got on the drive belt to the pump or need belt adjusting correctly?

Don’t think it’s belt driven.haven’t started in 2days so hoping oil will have bled itself.tight spots when turning now was all fine before I replaced banjo bolt.haven’t held steering all way left or right so hoping it will be fine when I next start it

You didn't mention model or age, I had an older 2.8 1998 that the power steering pump was driven from the gears in the housing of the injector pump etc. Is yours like that?

Are you sure it isn't the 2.5 as I think that was the predecessor of the 2.8, I had a 80hp non turbo version in a Iveco Daily 35/8 as in 3.5 tonne and 80 Hp.
I think the 2.3 engines were later, but I stand to be corrected.;)

Not 100% sure I only bought it over a week ago and haven’t got log book yet

See if on the chassis plate /bonnet slam panel where it lists it weights/towing capacities etc. look for a number beginning 8140.** or something similar.
Then do a search under Sofim engine on wikipedia it will give details of the range.:)
