Possible First Time Fiat Owner

Hey, im looking for a new car as my old peugeot 106 is getting past it. i have basically narrowed it down to a Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 Diesel Multijet Dynamic 3dr on a 56 plate or the equivalent fiesta diesel.

i have been to look at the punto and i am mightily impressed with it and possibly swaying towards that, i just wanted to know about anyones personal experences with such puntos and if there is anything that i need to know before buying.

I dont drive a GP normally but had one as a courtesy car recently and I think its a super car. Fiat are very good at small cars and the GP is a good one.

Ive been a 'first time' fiat owner 12 times over the years so I'm pretty much sold on them now.
