Hi

The headlights on my Ulysee 2.2 JTD seem to to be poor,

Is it possible to fit stronger bulbs or spotlights?

Patrick

Hi,

I fitted Osram Silverstar bulbs to our Ulysse and it made a huge difference to the light output. I didn't believe it would make a difference, but I bought some of E-Bay and have now bought a second set for our Volvo.

They are not the blue tint ones as I wanted normal white light.

Well worth doing in my opinion.

I just had my 'light' put back into the dipped headlights...

It only took 6 months and 3 visits to the dealer - who swore they'd fixed it !

They had to remove the front bumper.

Apparently they say... the buld needs to sit right forward in the headlight 'tube' otherwise it lights up the tube and not the road !
(You just get a halo effect in front of the bonnet line - and no significant light)

Aparently there's not enough room at the back of the assembly to push the bulb right in.

Their advice was to call the AA if the bulb went !

I have fitted several bulbs to our Ulysse and you don't need to take the bumper off. It takes some patience and on the passenger side you need to undo one bolt, but it is only a 5 minute operation.

The dealers seem to make a big issue of this for some reason.
