Plugs & Filters

How much am I looking at to get my filters, plugs and leads replaced? Maybe having the gearbox oil changed too. Just looking for a rough estimate before I go down to my local garage tomorrow.

This is on a 1.2 btw.

at a garage about £100 ish i should have thought.

you can do it all yourself easily (as in the work) and also get the parts a darn sight cheaper by getting the parts through a motor factors

I don't fancy doing the gearbox oil change or the spark plugs myself. My mate lost a plug inside the engine of his fiesta when he was tightening it.

The reason for getting the box oil done is that my car is hesitant to go into 2nd or 1st when downshifting. I gather that this is a synchro problem on later bravos? Any ideas if an oil change would help? My car is probably on the original oil and has done 89k now.

Should be changed every 2 years so it's well overdue.

Looking at what I want doing, and what gets done on a full service, I'm thinking I might as well just get it serviced and be done with it? Engine oil doesn't need doing though. I checked that last weekend.

where is it your based mate?

the gear box oil is a doddle, along with oil and filter change, plugs and leads

if your looking into a proper mech doing it look at getting a mobile one as they are usually cheaper

I'm in Manchester mate. I had a mobile mech inspect it before I bought it. Might give him a ring to see what he can do.
