Hi All,

I have some scratches on the side of my car and all i look at is them now when i ever i get in my car! - and its starting to annoy me!

My car is dark blue (teseo blue) and i have got blue T-cut which hasnt really made a difference, same with Meguiars Scratch X

I was just wondering if this stuff would work better?

Some of the scratches are quite light and some you can feel when you go over them with your nail... they just appear out of nowhere :(

Please could you let me know what to doo (y)

( i can upload pics if need be)

what you need if the scratches are not too deep is a foam buffer that you attach to a drill, don't use Tcut but there is scratch remover out there far less abrasive. you need to add a little water as well when you buff up the scratches ......quite an easy job really

My old car got keyed; I touched it in so it was just above the surface of the normal paint. Cracked out the 2000 grit wet and dry and flatted off (use soap to lube). Then out with the rubbing compound on a rotary polisher, followed up with t-cut, then Autoglym Super Resin. You couldn't see the scratch unless you looked close and only because the colour wasn't a perfect match.

If you can feel a scratch with your finger nail that will require some serious hard work to recover, especially if the top coat has gone and the scratch is down to the base primer or metal....

If some of them are very light and Scratch x and T-Cut haven't removed them. I'd suggest re reading the instructions on the back of the packets, and trying again.

As already said anything you can feel will almost certainly require a little paint.

:yeahthat:

Scratch-x is a diminishable abrasive so needs to be worked in well not just a quick rub and wipe off It needs to be worked in until the paste goes clear..

Need pics of the scratches as said. The product will really need to be worked in so that it gets broken down properly. I had the same with a scratch on my car this weeked. I got the SRP out and spend a good 20mins on this one scratch working in the SRP so that it broke down properly and now its 90% gone.

I used stuff called Brasso...took out the majority of the light scratches on my vehicle and you can only see the deeper one at certain angles.

yep, dead serious! Worked well for me, just cant take out the deep scratches too well.
