Pipercross performance filter?

Is there one for the 1.6 16v 1998?
I went on pipercross website and i thought it said yes. but just been to halfords and they looked in some book and on their computers and it said they dont? I dont want an induction kit, all i want it a filter to give it a better noise?!!! HELP!?!

the only filter pipercross do for the 1.6 is a replacement panel filter. i got one for my 1.6.
if you just want one for the noise tho, i wouldnt bother as it doesnt make a difference.

i got a green cotton air filter for my 1.4 noise is diff cause its not restricted and makes a niss TSS wen u let off the throttle!

no power increase noticed tho! oo 2bhp maybe o ar yeah!

if you want a induction kit for noise then K&N do one for the 1.6, its just not very good at the job its intended to do (filter).
A panel filter just replaces the standard filter not the whole induction system so performance and noise and not going to be achieved.
only reason i got one was because it filters better than a standard one being foam and its for life (washable) and its only £35.

If you are going to fit an induction kit the MUST fit a suitable cold air feed. If you don't I will guarantee you will loose BHP.

I washed my pipercross filter this weekend, the outside was black! You could not read 'pipercross' anymore and it left black on your hands. The inside was perfectly clean and dry.

if you ask me then forget pipercross, pipercross are gud for performance but not for sounds. i have a k&n on my 1.6 bravo and it ****in roars and the best thing about k&n is the longterm warranty. they outlast ur car provided they are looked after. i dont regret buying a k&n even tho it was the most expensive. at the end of day you get what you pay for
