Hey guys, I feel guilty coming on asking for help having provided nothing useful to the forum, but here goes.

Over the last 2 months I've been getting a creaky vibrating noise from the front left of the car when going over speedbumps or hitting dips at speed.

I jacked the car up and had a look at the nearside front wheel and have noticed the arch liner fixing is slipping out at the front and moving around all over the place so as a temporary fix I cable-tied it in position, and this reduced the noise a lot but didn't fix it.

I also noticed that between the front and rear parts of the wheel arch there is a gap which looks a lot like it should contain another plastic panel, which I think is this. As this piece is not there I believe the arch liners are moving about and causing the noise over speedbumps.

So I was wondering
A) if other people agree that might be the cause and
B) if there is a picture of the underside of the car so I can compare it to mine to see what's missing.
C) is that shield part easy to fit

Also worth noting that when I got the car I had to take it back to have the offside front wheel arch liner replaced due to damage and the engine guard fitted because it was missing; so I suspect the passenger side also got ruined in whatever incident caused that.

Sorry for the lengthy post! Car is a 1.3Mjet by the way.

sadly I dont have a picture, I did have one of the front wheel arches but its gone sorry! I had 2 bits drop off the underneath of the front and took it to fiat to replace it, which they did, but when I got it home after hearing some noises I noticed part of the wheel arch trim had fallen onto the wheel causing it to make horrid noises, i fixed that back and reduced the noises a lot but still sometimes when I turn the steering wheel it happens, it's a bit strange never found anything noticeably out of place other than that.

Sounds quite similar to mine then! It's annoying on mine because I can't replicate it when stationary, it only makes the noise at 10+mph over sharp speed bumps. Gonna get it jacked up Sat morning and have a better look, I'll post a pic on here and maybe someone can tell me if something is missing.

Took some pics this morning:

In all cases the front of the car is on the left side of the picture. First 3 pics are the front side of the wheel and the last pic is behind the wheel. Seems to me there is a missing piece which should be covering the engine gubbins.

Edit: also made a video as I think they're easier to get perspective on what you're looking at:
