Does anyone use any form of additive, Redex for example, if so do they help performance, economy etc, also what's the best type?

More interested in the economy part, with petrol prices I'm sure everybody is!!

i put a liter of red ex in when i bought the car. just incase.

a few people have done indepth looks into them and they do work. but there like £2-3 a liter so not cheap! even if you got 5mpg more on a 50liter tank you will still be money down......

super unleaded increases mpg on most cars and would be cheaper overall than a tank of normal pluss red ex.... thats the way forward imo.

just ran 50.0mpg on the bravo for a tank ill run super next time im payed and let you know.

Normally use V Power myself and does seem to improve economy a little. Not sure how much better the engine runs as I think V Power's meant to be more noticeable on higher performance engines that utilise the extra octane more and I know you can remap an ecu to take advantage of a better quality fuel. That said, I think the higher quality of the fuel's meant to be better for the engine though I may well be corrected on that :p

Never tried additives myself, though I am intrigued to hear first hand benefits of using them :)
