Now my Alfa has sold (again) I'm thinking about Project Peterborough again.

What colour would you paint a Panda 4x4 riot van?

My original thinking was matte NATO green but I'm also thinking of matte black Camo' colours, Desert Storm sand, Guff Orange, Broom Yellow and of course white.

Any ideas from the forum would be welcomed. :)

The stripe and graphic are optional. ;)

SAS Pink and Sand

SBS Pink and Grey

Happy memories. :)

I think matte Black is overdone these days, but with a new Mad Max on the horizon it could be well timed.

I did consider matte Gunmetal Grey but that would be a sod to keep clean.

With the practical application of the end project (I'll be using the car as a community farmwatch vehicle chasing lampers, Hare coursers and such) NATO green with black and brown blobs would fit in really rather well. Having said that it will look crap in the Tesco car park and I'll have to explain to everyone who stops me it isn't a Land Rover. ;)

Here's a thought. Suggest colours here and I'll start a poll thread. The winning colour gets done. :D

..........if so, I strongly suggest using not only a colour scheme camo, but also add a texture to car body , which would be known and "neutral" to the bunnies and other poor creatures you are going to use your turret on :D

No need to declare the new colour to the DVLA either as it a temporary covering and not a colour chance as such.

I've just found this...

...on my hard drive from the Guff paint stage and thought as the 4x4 is white why not?

Surely it's got to look like it's made from the toughest material going, carbon fibre. It's a twist on Matt black so won't be copying everyone else.

Vinyl wrap is the best way of achieving the look but probably too expensive. you can get the effect by painting the car silver/grey, then spraying satin black on top through a stencil, the non slip dash mats/toolbox draw liner stuff makes a good stencil. :D

Carbon fibre won't rust.

I made a sold the Fiat Coupe' GRP molds. Maybe so GRP Panda bits could be useful. The car comes with a spare Fantasia bonnet and tailgate.

To each their own but as I mentioned at the start of the thread matte black has been done to death.

Even C3PO is at it...

Now I've seen the car I'm thinking white with a New Panda/Grande Punto red stripe. ;)

A little more discrete than the Peterborough concept but still subtle (I do know the word) additions.
