General Permanent side lights

My Idea Eleganza has developed the same fault. The lights are off and the switch for the lights is off but as soon as I use the indicators (either side) the dip lights come on (switch makes no difference by moving it to on then back to off) sometimes the lights just go off again after a few minutes or sometimes they stay on the length of the journey but always are set to on again by the indicators being used. Do you think the switch is faulty, can it be cleaned/fixed? Fiat want £165 for the stalk/switch plus fitting!!!!
Any idea where I could bet a second hand stalk/switch?

It is a fault with the whole indicator unit and has to be renewed, I got mine replaced at my local auto electrician and it cost £185, but the whole unit has to be replaced including lights, indicator, and the steering wheel has to be removed to do this so I thought the price was OK.
