Just interested to know how many miles people are getting to a full tank.

It costs about £38-40 to fill up from empty?

I get about 275 - 300 miles until empty again (Not until the light comes on)

????????????????????????

i fill up as soon as the light comes on and drive until the light comes on again.

I usually put £20 a time in, and this gets me 160 to 190 miles depending how i drive, and what sort of journeys i do.

Its fantastic on back roads (and theres 20 miles of those on the way home because of the power, but in traffic it can be fairly thirsty, and its not AMAZING on the motorway because its quite low geared although that does make it stupidly good for overtaking on the motorway).

OK
I have a 18. 16v and i run Super or optimax.

I can get about 350 to a full tank thats with a 30 mile reserve (Driving with the petrol light on)

However, as soon as a i touch 80 to 85 and beyound, i can just watch the needle drop and i'm sometimes lucky to get 200 to 220 miles on a full tank. I travel to Southampton a lot from B'mouth and believe me, its such a difference travelling at 85 than it is at 75.

Damn, why am I getting such crap economy, I am only getting about 140 miles max to £20, if I drive like a granny!

Re: Re: Re: People with 1.8 Bravo's Click here!

Since I got mine I have been logging my MPG. Most of my driving is a 5 mile commute with the odd 10 mile drive thrown in and I get around 27mpg. I did a long 160 mile round trip recently (~75mph) and got about 38mpg!!

I know my car is standard so it helps but to a full tank and i meen till its pissing out the top to a nearly empty tank i get about 400 miles
Yes i meen we are talking fums before i go back to the petrol station
£40 to fill it just push your luck when u see the red light and just keep going for a while lol
i have the 1.8 Hlx
dont forget all cars are different in there own little ways so even though im getting good millage u may not get that it depends how the car has been looked after before and during your owner ship
I have had my car now for over 2 years bought it when it was about 2 years old and it only had 14995 on the clock it had been really well looked after by its previouse owner they had only done about 2000 miles in the 1 they had owned it

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: People with 1.8 Bravo's Click here!

I drove my 1.8 from Leeds back home to Southampton following my girlfriends old Mini because it had no rear lights, and spent the entire time doing about 60/65mph.
Having driven down, and then spent some 50-60 miles dawdling around town, i worked out that my average MPG was still about 42 when i fuelled up. Just shows how economical the 1.8 can be, but i have found out that it's murder on your wallet if you drive anywhere above 80/85 for a long period of time.

i know, i saw the fuel guage drop like a stone when i was on the m-way at 90ish.....aaaarrgh! i drive hard on back roads...edinburgh to ft william and back cost me 40 quid in petrol at the weekend!

i used to have a 1.8 and got between 280 and 320 doing lots of long journies.
i now have a hgt and i have had 340 out of it as i have calmed down (a bit)lol, so it just depends on how you drive

Re: Re: People with 1.8 Bravo's Click here!

Sounds bout right, i'm gettin about 275-300 miles to a tank (£35ish/72p litre), well full until the light comes on. Thats a mixture of driving long motorway and short drives (not hangin about either). On a pure long motorway journey i usually get a bit better.
