Technical Peirburg throttle body loom advice

Just fitting new throttle body to 3.0 euro 5 x250

Does the modified loom go inline (in between old loom and body?

As orig loom is part of main loom?

Yes it will fit between throttle body and wire harness
It seems to reduce from 4 pin to 3 pin
Not sure why it is needed ??

Not on euro 5 2012 models, as loom already 3 wires, mod loom slots in but won't lock into place, so fitted without, issues solved for now

Hi , I'm facing this issue at the moment 2012 3.0 new throttle body is fitted and it's still giving fault codes with the extra loom . Will it be safe to try without the loom ?
