After a long wait (ordered on the 1st of January) my delivery from Demontweeks has arrived!
Apparently due Bilstein relocating their factory in Germany? None the less, my set of Eibach Pro's and Bilstein B4's are here
I must add - their customer service is 1st rate and they kept me in the loop all the way.
B4's you ask? After some hefty research I decided these were the ones for me. Based on OEM construction and specification but come up slightly firmer, slightly more suited for lowering springs and of course they should be superior quality. Demontweeks had them on special offer, 66% off. So I thought why not? They have loads of positive feedback from the BMW community vs B6 and apparently offer a better overall drive.
Combined with the Eibach Pro-Kit, designed as a "progressive" kit (basically, the harder they are pushed, the stiffer they get. Rather than cheaper Apex springs which can be crashy at lower speeds) I'm hoping that combined with the B4's I can achieve a smooth OEM ride that handles really well when pushed a little harder. Plus the 30mm drop will add to the image.
I do need some help though. In the past on my Astra I used a Haynes manual to fit some GSi shocks and springs, giving me the correct torque figures to tighten bolts etc etc. As there is no such thing for the Bravo how will I figure the correct torque settings for the shocks, hubs and so on?
Lastly, the "Sportline" kit is advertised as red springs, and the "Pro-Kit" is advertised as Black - I was hoping this would add to my OEM image. But they have turned up red - could they be incorrect? I've Googled it and some of the Alfa community were panicking as they thought they had 50mm sportline springs but in the case of the Alfa's the colours are opposite? If anyone can clear up for me if I have the right springs I would really appreciate it.
I hope all of that made sense! ^^
Thanks
