I have a flux core welder which isn't ideal but it's cheap and given enough practice works very well on thin stuff. I'm obviously in your league but good enough is fine when the only other option is paying someone money you don't have to do a job that may not be any better after grinding than we can do ourselves. My stick welder handles heavier stuff so that will cover alot of jobs needed elsewhere. I tried tig welding and it's something that would need lots of practice
