Technical Panda tailgate microswitch

I have a 2018 Panda, it looks like the microswitch has failed on the boot handle. Anyone know where I can source a replacement switch please? PS: I've tried to clean the switch etc., its still dead

I have just done this! The switch failed and I spent a fruitless two days trying to source the original switch. I work in electronics so have access to many sources but have been unable to find the original. It is made by Cherry but I suspect it is a custom uswitch supplied direct to Fiat and others. In the end I bought a complete rear handle from a breakers on eBay and swapped the inner section containing the switch and number plate lights to my outer panel. Cost me £95 but the problem is now sorted and probably much cheaper than a new handle from Fiat.

I did look at trying to fit a different switch into the panel but the original is very small and I couldn’t find anything suitable. I wanted it sorted so went for the secondhand option in the end.

Thanks, I guess the switch should cost <£1.00 so I'm trying to avoid a big bill here, will keep searching!
