General Panda headlight flashing !!!

Help please ! ...I have a Panda , 1000 cl , 91 , and the head lamps flash like a disco when you turn them on then go out after a few mins ...... the temp gauge also wobbles when you turn them on ! .... oooerrr missus ... any ideas ? .

You could try cleaning the earth in the engine bay. That can send electrics bit loopy when dirty

Just tried that my friend .. no go ...had it in bits too ... changed the light switch ...now the indicators are playing up !!

Trace the power cables from the battery to the lights and dash. make sure you don't see any rust, etc. You have a multimeter? Does it do it with the car off and on? If it does it while the car is running but not when the car is off, maybe the alternator is going to crap. I'm no electrical engineer, but just a couple ideas.
