Hi Slawek, that's a really smart Panda you have there buddy, very nice indeed.

How many kms has she done, and have you replaced the cam chain?

Dave

I haven't replaced the cam chain yet. Mileage is about 108000 km.

Slawek, you would be well-advised to look into the replacement cycle of the cam chain.

Unlike most other chain driven engine manufactures, Fiat have a replacement cycle for their cam chains.

When is it due ?How much should it cost ?

You're probably at about double the mileage! Lol!
I was told 70k miles. Just make sure that you go somewhere that you can trust. You don't want to end up with a second larger bill a year later after it fails!

I had mine done a few weeks ago at just under 85,000 miles, or about 135,000 kms. I wouldn't tell you to leave yours that long, so you'll have to make your own mind up when you want to do it. It had started to make a little noise at lower engine speeds so I took it to a FIAT specialist south of Manchester and it cost around £300 or €450 for parts and labour. But that might not be much use to you.

Any main dealer will cost more than a specialist so it might be worth trying forums with a lot of members from your own country. You could also look at Vauxhall/Opel forums as the (basically) the same engine is used in Corsas and Astras.

£300 was pretty cheap.

The one done by the "specialist" that buggered up in my car cost me £450! Then getting it fixed afterwards cost another £866. :(
