Styling painting the calipers

Hi gays,
a weird question, someone paint is calipers with a regular paint spray?

what is the effect on the long term?

do do them properly it is best to take them off the car proper wire brush down and a good clean with some acid free alloy wheel cleaner then use hammerite either brush on or spray

people say use heat proof paint but they seem fine without
