Paint work help

Hi All I had a bit of bad luck where I was following a 40ft container one night and owing to its height, the damn thing upset a few branches on some trees and as I was following closely behind (Which I shouldnt have done) a branch fell on my hood and there seems to be a small dent just a little above the windscreen.

Most people who saw it advised me to just leave it as fixing it would require the painting of the whole hood, but is there any way I can sort this out without having to paint the whole hood and also removing the inner hood lining? As my GP is completely scratch and dent free this small dent is really bugging me

if it has only dented it and not gone throught and clear coat or paint you can get the dent nocked out this still won't be cheap tho.
