hi, i'm very close to starting the first lot of painting on my little 126. i bought all the paint in one go which was etch primer, etch primer thinners, primer filler and thinners and of course 5 ltrs of red paint - all celluous - now the guy at the shop told me the mixing ratios but i can't for the life of me remember what they were? can anyone help me with this?

Why not try looking on the web for the manufacturer's data sheets for the specific paint system you've bought? Should tell you all you need to know (y).

Did you buy mixing cups? You can get them pretty cheaply and there calibrated for all different ratios.

Id be going 2:1 on primers/thinners, then 2:1 with paint/hardener+10% thinners

But go back to the shop and buy some cups and ask him again to double check, make a note of them for future refrence too.

Colinf has assumed you're painting it with two pack (2K), which is what most bodyshops would be using :)

As you say it's all cellulose, the normal ratio for paint is 1:1.
Depending on coverage, 3 - 4 coats with plenty of time (10-20 mins) between coats to allow the solvent to evaporate.
