Oxford - Cambelt Change and ........

Hi Guy's
Its come time (well probably past time tbh) to get the cambelt on my 1.8 bravo done I've done a quick search and looks like the closest place to me with a reputation is Solo Italia. Is there anything else (apart from a full service) should I be getting them to do at the same time?

Im not really sure what other work is required on the Bravo/a, but aswell as Solo Italia, you could consider Palmer & Philips in Horspath Industrial Estate (near the Mini Factory). I always took my Mk2 Punto there for work including servicing, cambelt & brakes & i never had to return the car because of poor workmanship etc.

The guys that run it used to work in a Fiat main dealer in Oxford years ago & when it closed they set up their own business, which is Palmer & Philips. They appear to really know there stuff & a service is actually a service rather than just new oil & filter as many garages seem to do.

Worth phoning them for a quote at least.

http://www.aforalfa.co.uk/ very highly rated for alfas, and the 1.8 being very similar to the alfa twinspark, means plenty of experience. very good prices too.

Jai on here had the belts on his V6 changed by him i believe and i'm sure he will recommend him too. worth a call at least.
