Hi,

Just replaced the fuel pump and if I blip the throttle the engine over-revs for about 3 seconds then returns to idle. It is not a sticky throttle cable.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Thank you

Did you only replace the fuel pump, or did you have the airbox off, to expose the inlet manifold?

Revving on suggests either an intake leak or a idle control valve issue. I'm going with an intake leak, especially if you were working in the engine bay on a fuel issue.

Yes, removed the air filter box. How would I check this?

Thanks for that, it was an air leak around the evap valve. Just put some grease on the o-ring and it is fine.
