overclocking

Recently over clocked my system also, been wanting to for ages but never had the time.

It only took 5 minutes, all the overclocking features were built into my new mainboard all along.

RAM @ 333MHz from 166MHz (Fastest it will go, have not attempted timings)

Processor @ 2.73 GHz from 2.53 GHz (Intel P4, can go faster but with only a processor fan+heatsink mod I thought I'd keep it like this. VERY STABLE)

Gaphics Card Memory was overclocked but the settings have cleared so it has to be redone. Long ting!

Overclocking is the way forward if you don't have the money to build/buy a new system.

nice one people :D its good to know these c2d's are so good... im building a mega watercooled system for jordan, using some of the best parts possible and an e6600, i told him to expect 3.0ghz, now i can tell him to expect nearer 3.5ghz!
with the intel northbridges, cooling them is vital if you want a really good overclock. then again, its always good to have a safety margin, and NOT clocking the nuts off them can make the chips last longer... and the c2d's are so fast that even a stock e6300 is bloody well fast.
