Does the cinquecento 900 share the same engine as the 900 panda
the same as in pandas mk2 after 94{ 92 in some markets} =spi and double coil{ or double coils}no mech. fuel pump and distributor,most of them has 899cc capacity , plus some other changes. Before 94 it was an old 903cc with carb distributor and mech fuel pump. Easy to distinguish difference between 899 and 903: 903 has pressed metal rocker cover, late 903 and 899 cast aluminium one.{ refers to "normal" 903, because there were also 903 with aluminium rocker cover lke abarth versions, etc}

I do not want to discourage you, but it is pointless to tune original panda 900 engine, making it a "70hp" engine will cost 2x more than the whole car, and will make the 70 hp panda a 11,maby 10,5sec to 60 mph car, still not mind blowing :D Cheapest performance gain would be finding punto 1200 8v 75hp engine and original panda 1.0 fire 5 speed box, plus some parts to make the swap.Still cheaper than making 70 hp out of old 903(y)

I do want to put the punto engine in but Tbh I'm not too sure if mine would already have a ecu to swap it or would need to be wired in since it's a carb and I already have the 5 speed so that's a bonus

sadly nothing engine running wise would be of use. not even the gearbox.
if you had a 999cc FIRE engined panda, any other FIRE engine would have mounted up to that original 999cc gearbox.

the 903cc push rod engine takes a different gearbox bolt pattern :( also any ECU that drives the 903cc engine sadly wont drive any of the fire engines. :(

as far as wiring goes though, you only need to wire in 3 wires to the car's loom. everything else just gets transplanted from the dona car. (all but fuel pump if it was an originally a carbed engine.. then you would need an in line fuel pump)
