*OT Suggestions Wanted for custom paintwork

I've marked this as OT, because its not even remotely relevant to fiat bravo's, but i know you guys will have some great suggestions.

I sold my bike before Christmas, but now i'm wishing i still had it. So i've been looking about, and thinking, and i've decided i realy want a Honda VFR.

However, as an alternative i've also been looking at a rather less pretty bike, The Honda ST1100

Now before you panic, and think, What the heck would he buy that ugly bugger for, let me explain.
The next bike i buy, i'm likely to keep forever. So, if i buy a big ST1100, (which is reasonably easy to maintain as its shaft driven), i'd be wanting to customise it significantly.

Here are some of the things i've been thinking of:

I especially like the tiger version, and reckon a matching helmet would complete the package.

I'm looking for alternative suggestions for paintschemes, with or without pictures.
Free pillion ride if i use anyones sugestion
(if you know any good airbrush painters that'd be darned handy too)

I was reading a thread on a retro gaming forum I'm on and there's a fella who's into airbrushing, he's done a bike aswell...I think he's down South though which isn't handy for you. You want more details?

As for designs I have no ideas, and don't worry, I won't be asking for a pillion shot...it'd be like those guys in Cannonball Run

Where are you based Buzz? I have lots of biker contacts in the Birmingham area and am sure I could find you a good custom paintwork person on recommendation. Personally I prefer the spiderman one, son has already got the helmet.

If you want a bargain' my sons Daytona is on fleabay for under 4,000, well highest bid was 3,800 last night, but it finishes at 6.00 tonight.

Flames has been done to death, and as patriotic as i am, (card carrying SNP member) I'd steer clear of a nationalist bike, as it might be targeted by idiots and/or mindless vandals. Plus, if i ever had to sell it, I'd have a pretty limited market to sell it to.

I'll talk to anyone anywhere about paint and stuff tho. i don't mind travelling somewhere to drop the bike for a quality job. above all, i'd prefer to travel, or pay more, than get a merely average paint job. I expect it'll be £1k or something for custom airbrushing. I don't even have enough cash just now to buy the bike, never mind get the work done, just getting my ideas down on paper and a budget to work to. Hopefully I'll be able to afford it in the summer.

Keep the ideas coming tho...

Hmm see I was thinking something like this might work but unsure how...

always loved how they look so I think it might work well on a bike.

Maybe matte black with ghosted flames as an Idea as well? I know flames are over done but I think a matte black with the gloss flames is really quite a good look.

Probably. But going all patriotic means i've only got Scottish nutters to sell to. Not that i plan to sell mind you. Then again, most nutters in the UK ARE Scottish i suppose
