its just the most pointless thing ever. its easier to make a ghost of ur system. and u can re ghost ur system when ever u want to restore to that point

In some situations Ghost is brilliant, in others Unattended Installs work much better.

ghost is supplied by norton.. i hate norton. but this is a clean product. basically go find Norton Ghost. install ur pc to wat ever stage u want. then u use this ghost program. basically it will copy ur hard drive EXACTLY to a cd/dvd when u want to reformat u fdisk etc and put the ghost cd in. then u insert ur ghosted windows cd and it will install to where u last saved it.

go to a LAN centre they usually have a copy

Whats happens then if your harddrive has more inforamtion than is available on a CD or DVD???

It spans the image so you can swap the disk part way through when it prompts for it. At least thats what the one im using here does.

You can also use sysprep on your windows install before you ghost it, and when you deploy your ghost image back to a pc / laptop, it will detect all your devices as it does when you do a fresh install. (useful if you backed up a good image then changed hardware later on.)

It's much better than Norton Ghost - Roberto is right, it is extremely useful.
